Mondul Estate is located within the Masai community on the slopes of Mount Monduli where an ideal microclimate and rich volcanic soils contribute to their coffee's unique yet quintessentially Tanzanian profile. Mondul Estate aims to pair traditional methods with modern practices, with an emphasis on sustainability, technology and community. The estate uses bio fuels and recycled compost wherever possible, and invests in modern technology to measure and manage water usage. During the harvest 250 pickers from neighboring villages come for work, receiving pay, meals and accommodation. Schooling, medical services, pension lands, and sports facilities are also provided.
